CHATEAU MARMONT SOIRÉE

What’s in a drink? What’s in a toast? What’s your view on legends?

We arrived at Chateau Marmont in a hazy sunset.

The dark polished floors reflected the warm lights as we walked to the table laid under vaulted arches and with a view of the moroccan-inspired tents in the inner courtyard.
Other patrons were leaning close over tapered candles as the evening drew close. The feeling was intimate, convivial, new and at the same time, like you had been here before.

The glasses are poured, the large, bright bubbles delighting with aromas of fine citrus and clean, refreshing sips.

Engaging in the precious traditions of offering wine, sharing a toast, is longer than what we can conceive. Who are we to re-write history?
Strangers, brought together with a tool as old as time. We connected over similar interests, and differed in views on power and culture. A good dinner party should leave you inspired, satisfied, like you’ve been where you are supposed to have been. Welcomed, engaged, and at the end, a bit exhausted.
