A NIGHT IN BARCELONA

There comes a time when you’re not sure you’re in the right place. It can happen the moment you arrive or, in my case, years later. Turns out, I’m not the only one.

It’s July in Barcelona.

That evening, seven strangers gather to pour their doubts out together on the table unknowingly.

The heat of the day is suffocating, the cover of nightfall energizing.
Not a single one of us is “home.” We left our familiar and familial nests to start over. And while we’ve found ways to make this new place feel like the old one, there is always something missing - our people.

This isn’t by chance. There’s a reason we’re all in this city on this evening at this table - together.

As the evening progresses and platters of chilled oysters are replaced with perfectly cooked fish, we discover that the people we are seeking are among us. The creation of one Society has led to another.
